It's time we start a count of those killed by random, senseless shootings across America. Time after time we see mad men open fire in crowded venues and wonder why. Immediately following, we hear those who promote firearms start their predictable defense of firearms by using the all too familiar twisted logic that the firearms used aren't the problem, the mad man using it was.

Forget the recent mass killings if you can. They are as tragic as today's were, and this count won't include the daily shootings during acts of crimes or domestic violence that occur across the nation. I wanted to start the death tally today, because maybe that will wake people up to the reality of what is taking place before our very eyes so we can see exactly how irresponsible firearms promotion is. Today in Portland, Oregon, there are two victims dead by gunshot in a shopping mall. Unfortunately, it won't be long until another deadly shooting takes place in a crowded venue by a lone gunman.
